Next to the obvious cooperation with our Alten sister companies, Alten PTS regularly forms strategic collaborations with other companies and agencies. Some of these collaborations are mentioned below.

Microsoft

As sole Gold partner for Windows Embedded in the Benelux, Alten PTS is your best partner when Windows Embedded operating systems are concerned. Alten PTS has acquired this status through years of experience with the various variants of this successful range of operating systems for embedded applications. FHI Development club

The members of the Development Club form a niche within the sector Industrial Electronics of the FHI. They are a unique collection of ‘developers` with specialized knowledge, especially in the fields of mechatronics, embedded software and industrial design. They work together for organizations looking for technological creativity with additional competencies, in order to find successful solutions and products.

DevLab

DevLab was initiated by 13 technological companies including Alten PTS. The companies form part of the Development Club (in short DevClub), which, in its turn, forms part of the FHI, the branch organization for industrial Electronics. So, the FHI is at the base of DevLab. Several Doctors of Philosophy carry out scientific research in close cooperation with the network of university professors. Students graduating from university and schools for Higher Vocational Education help these Doctors of Philosophy to accumulate knowledge with which, over time, the twelve companies create new products and services.

Educational institutes

Alten PTS invests in the future because of its close ties with the University of Technology and Colleges of Technology in the Netherlands. PTS entered into a cooperation agreement with Saxion Hogescholen, in which we actively participate in the readership Ambient Intelligence and the academy CII. At other Colleges of Technology, among which Avans Hogescholen and Fontys Hogeschool, we participate in projects, we contribute Windows CE, embedded Linux and Agile knowledge, we contribute to readerships, guest lectures and we coach graduating students, who are given job opportunities at Alten PTS on a regular basis.

Twice IT training courses

 As distributor of Enterprise Architect training courses we also work together with Twice IT Training B.V. Twice IT organizes the individual enrollment Enterprise Architect training courses and Alten PTS gives the customized training courses.

Sparx Systems

What once started as an Enterprise Architect training course for our own employees has, in the meantime, grown into a strategic partnership with Sparx Systems, the distributor of this renowned UML tool. We now give Enterprise Architect training courses (tool training courses, modular training courses and customized training courses) and since 2006 we are the acknowledged training partner of Sparx Systems.
